2018 Northern Circuit Spring Seminar

The Personal Injuries Bar Association is delighted to announce that their Northern Circuit Spring Seminar will be presented this year by James Rowley QC of Byrom Street Chambers, who will speak on Pension Loss Calculations. 

James presented a version of this seminar at the PIBA Annual Conference in Oxford this year, and it was very well received.  It is aimed at simplifying the sometimes daunting task of calculating pension loss, especially in cases with defined benefit schemes.  It is suitable for practitioners of all levels of call.

The seminar will also be streamed live to Atlantic Chambers in Liverpool as last year.  The event is provided free of charge, but anyone who would like to attend (at either venue) is asked to email Zara Poulter ([email protected]) to confirm.  This is necessary so that we can know how many will be attending, and in case information or documents relevant to the event need to be circulated before or after.  The event will attract CPD points, and it is suggested that those who plan to attend revise their CPD plans to include this seminar.

Finally, PIBA is also able to announce that this year’s Northern Circuit Conference will take place on 10th November 2018 at Haydock Park Racecourse.  Booking details and other information will be announced later in the year, but those interested in attending are invited to mark their diaries.
